About LifeSkills Curriculum

Helping Young Adults Thrive

The Life Skills Curriculum™ will provide young adults nearing completion of high school, through the college years, with the basic life skills necessary to live and thrive in today’s society, including Financial, Employment & Workplace Skills, Personal Care, Interpersonal, and Home Care skills.

According to the US Census, In 2005, most young adults lived independently in their households, which was the predominant living arrangement in 35 states. A decade later, by 2015, the number of states where most young people lived independently fell to just six.

More young people lived in their parent’s homes than in any other arrangement—1  in 3 people, or about 24 million 18- to 34-year-olds—lived in their parent’s homes in 2015. According to R. Schoeni and K. Ross, authors of “Material Assistance From Families During the Transition to Adulthood, On the Frontier of Adulthood: Theory, Research, and Public Policy,” about one in three 18- to 34-year-olds rely on their parents for financial assistance.

The LifeSkills Curriculum will give you, or a young adult, in your life, the necessary skills to plan for and maintain financial independence and personal well-being. The program offers self-paced learning models, including engaging video tutorials, efficient study guides with provided answer keys, and other helpful resources to ensure understanding, implementation, and adoption of the information provided.
